Course contains 23 department in 40 hours
1- Course Title: Anatomy  3 hours
Objectives: To develop an understanding of the structure of the musculoskeletal system and the relationship to function in terms of analysis of joints motion and muscle action.
- Continuation of Anatomy I and is designed to further develop the student’s understanding of the organ systems and the relationship of the internal organs to the surrounding neuromusculoskeletal structures. The course will also familiarize the student with the development and internal configuration of the central nervous system.
2-Course Title: physiology I  1hours
Objectives: To enable the student to understand the structure of the cell and its function and the organization of tissues within system and the normal function of these systems.
3-Course Title: Therapeutic exercise  2 hours
Objectives: To develop theoretical understanding and manual skills in the application of basic and advanced exercise programs.
4-Course Title: Patient Observation  2 hours
Objectives: To acquire the skill of recording different evaluation techniques and how to use them in treatment planning.
5-Course Title: Test and Measurements 2 hours + 1 hour practical
Objectives: To familiarize the student with the various tests and Measurements employed in physical therapy evaluation.
6-Course Title: Hydrotherapy 1 hour
Objectives: To develop an understanding of the laws and  physical principles involved in the use of hydrotherapy equipments. To be able to properly choose and conduct hydrotherapy treatment in different pathological conditions.
7-Course Title: Introduction to Orthopedics   2 hours
Objectives: To Teach the students  to the mechanisms of injury provide the knowledge base for medical management of common orthopedic conditions.

8-Course Title: Electrotherapy   2 hours
Objectives: To understand the Scientific Bases and the use of electromagnetic waves and electrical currents as therapeutic modalities.
9-Course Title: Manual Therapy   2 hours + 1 hour practical
Objectives: To acquire in handing and applying basic techniques of myofascial release

Course Title: Psychology of the Handicapped 2 hours + 1 hour practical
Objectives: To recognize the reaction of patients and families to illness and injury and interact in a manner which provides the desired psychological support
11-Course Title: Orthopedics: 2 hours + 1 hour  practical
Objectives: To develop an understanding of the medical and surgical management of orthopedic disease and problem.
12-Course Title: Clinical Training:  1 hours
Objectives: The students will be given the opportunity to practice the physical therapy methods of evaluation, planning and treatment in the following clinical settings:
1         Orthopedics Departments.
2         Sports Injuries.
13-Course Title: Clinical Nutrition   1 hours
Objectives: To provide the student with insight into the general principles of healthy nutrition and nutritional management of most common diseases that require special dietary regimens.
14-Course Title: Sports Injuries: 1 hour
Objectives: To enable the student to recognize, asses, lender acute care and management of athletic related injuries
15-Course Title: Chest Disease  1 hour
Objectives: To develop and understanding of the disease process and management of common chest disease. To familiarize the student with the most common investigations used and how to use their results.
16-Course Title: Intensive Care  1 hour
Objectives: To provide the student with insight into the general principles of intensive care and artificial respiration, patient monitoring and special care involved in the treatment of the unconscious patient.
17-Course Title: Burns and Plastic Surgery  1 hours
Objectives: To develop an understanding of the types and classification of burns. To offer the student a basic understanding of the management of the different types of burns including rationale for surgical approach.
18-Course Title: Heart and Chest Surgery  1 hours
Objectives: To provide the student with insight into the rationale for surgery and surgical management of heart and chest conditions.
19-Course Title: Geriatrics   1 hours
 Objectives: To develop an understanding of the aging process general assessment of the geriatric patient and management of major geriatric problems.
20-Course Title: Pediatrics    2 hours + 1 hour practical
Objectives: To develop an understanding of the stages of growth and development, general assessment of the newborn and infant and management of major pediatric disorders.
21-Course Title: Neurology    2 hours + 1 hour  practical
Objectives: To develop an understanding of the disease process of common central and peripheral nervous system disorder.
22-Course Title: Ethics and Laws  1 hours
Objectives: To familiarize the student with the physical therapy code of ethics in Egypt and major world associations.
23- Course Title: Introduction to Research  1 hours
Objectives: To introduce the student to scientific methodology used in conducting and evaluating research in physical therapy. To prepare the student for clinical research projects.
